We understand that plans can change. To ensure fairness and maintain scheduling efficiency, StructureSpect has established the following cancellation guidelines:
Inspections & Other Services
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before a scheduled inspection, engineering service or consultation commences will receive a full refund or credit toward a future service.
Late Cancellations
More than 48 hours before the appointment: Full refund or credit toward a future booking.
48 hours or less: 75% refund of the prepaid fee.
24 hours or less: 50% refund of the prepaid fee.
Same day (from 12:00 a.m. on the day of service): No refund.
No‑Shows for Inspections or Appointments
If without notice a client fails to be present for an inspection; provide access to the property at the scheduled time; or make it to a scheduled in-person meeting within a 20-minute grace period, the full prepaid fee may be forfeited.
Rescheduling Onsite/In-Person Services
We’re happy to reschedule appointments with at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability. Rescheduling within 24 hours may be treated as a cancellation.
Engineering Services & Multi‑Part Projects
For non‑inspection services such as structural evaluations, design reviews, or consultations, clients may choose to divide projects into phases or parts. Each part must be paid in full prior to initiation. If a phase is cancelled before work begins, prepaid fees for that phase will be refunded in full. Once work on a phase has started, fees for it are non‑refundable.
Weather or Site Conditions
If StructureSpect must cancel or reschedule due to unsafe weather or site conditions that are not the fault of any involved party, no fees will apply and we’ll work promptly to make new arrangements.
Third‑Party Coordination
Some projects require us to coordinate with outside professionals such as specialty engineers, assessors, or contractors. In these cases, their scheduling and cancellation rules may apply in addition to ours. We’ll always explain these terms up front at the time of booking so you know exactly what to expect before committing.
